Shawn O'Keefe X Ride Snowboards

My DH2.3 board is now up and online over at http://www.ridesnowboards.com/
The board itself isn't available until Dec.1st, but the promo has begun.
Really stoked on how it turned out, can't wait to see the real deal.
Super limited Edition of 345.

Creator of the Creator - 09

Some of you may know that I paint in the Woodpile Collective...but I'll bet many of you didn't know that the Woodpile Collective also has an audio based counterpart known as "Creator of the Creator". We just had a recording session/retreat to our lab cabin on the coast. Collective friend and photographer Ben Moore came out to partake in the festivities and shoot some film over the weekend. Damn that was fun. Look out for the new album this spring "Caves & Claws".

Drawing on Vancouver

I'm excited to be an honourary "Vancouverite" as I am a part of the "Drawing on Vancouver" show at Walrus in...Vancouver. Curated by Randy Laybourne, looks like a great show with a host of fine artists. Looking forward to checking it out in person. Here are some more pics of the setup and opening over at Look Forward to the Past.

Rifflanda Bro

My silkscreened poster for the Final Fantasy show ( which is a part of the Rifflandia Concert series ), printed by Joey over at Olio. Nice Job! Check out the photos of the process over at Anteism.com

The good folks at Scum Creative Labs and the Rifflandia Music Festival asked me to remix their Rifflandia Logo ( see icosahedron ) for their limited release "Rifflandabrau" Pilsner with Phillips Brewing Company. Specially Brewed for their Festival, I cranked the dial to "Skullquake" with my interpretation. Keep an eye out for the finished label and enjoy a cold Rifflandabrau at the Fest.

Portfolio

In putting together an email to show some portfolio work. I came across some old favs.
Thought I'd post them here for you to check out.

Transworld Surf - "How To" Harry

"How To" Harry is a character that I draw for Transworld Surf magazine. He usually learns the hard way and uses his lack of common sense to entertain and educate those who seek his advice.

There is an interview with me on SanFrancisco's Fecal Face Dot Com. Look in the right hand margin and scroll down. It's in the Mini-Interviews section. http://www.fecalface.com/

Dusting off the cans

Went out and painted on the Wildfire Bakery last Sunday. Not finished yet, but the character came together allright. I painted a Kwakwaka'wakw chief with a talking stick. He seemed like
he might have something to say about all the noise down there. Hoping to finish this weekend.
Not sure what I'm doing...but it's sure nice to paint on a wall again.

Slummer Days

Sometimes when your mind is weary from the daily grind, the best thing to do is to make it more weary with too much sunshine and a cooler full of fun. This was a little 24 hr vacation to Sindey Island with a couple of good friends. Ahhhhh much too short but, oh so sweet.

The Abracadabra Show

Abracadabra is both a local art publication and group art show inspired by the theme of Magic and Metaphysics. It is a celebration of the otherworldly, an embracing of the unexplainable. In succession to the BeCause, the Glue Factory, the Natural Low, the Feast, and the Make, Abracadabra is yet another incantation of Victoria’s young, underground arts community.I was stoked to be included in this years mix of artists. The poster that I did for the show. (above)

Cheaper Show Weekend

Still a little tired today from attending the Cheaper Show in Vancouver over the weekend.
Great to see old friends and meet lots of cool new people. The place was packed and lineups wrapped around the interior of the space with people lined up to purchase artwork.
A huge thanks to Meghan Paterson and the rest of the Cheaper Show staff for putting on such a fun and successful event, and to those of you who managed to get there early enough and get through that massive line and actually get a piece of amazing artwork!...wow....congrats!

I really liked these (above) paste-ups for the show. Nice work whoever made these!
